Busy life

How can things feel this busy when you only work 2 days a week??? It has been about 2 weeks since I last posted, but during that time we have had a lot keeping us distracted. The girls have been sick with an ugly little virus and Emily got it really bad, with sores all in her mouth. She could hardly eat anything and it even bled at time. but thank God, it is almost over. she is eating again and much better.
Dennis has had running / chess camps for 2 weeks and has one week to go. Then he has about 1 or 2 weeks until school starts....but this year it will be just teaching - NO MASTER's!!!! He is finished and let me just brag on him because he got a 4.0! Way to go!! Now maybe he can relax and reap some of the benefits of the work. I guess I don't have any really cool photos to share right now. Well, actually we do have a few photo opts! Anna is feeding herself with a fork and sometimes with a spoon...check out her pudding eating skills...
And Emily has learned how to use a mouse and play Disney games. So, pretty soon she'll be learning how to read and typing you all emails! We'll see how quickly....she can only do 1 letter words right now and those are very limited....:)
Well, I suppose that's all right now. Will try not to go so long next time!!
Thanks for your interest.

Jennifer and Spencer's Visit

We had a nice visit yesterday with Jennifer, Dennis' sister who was in from New York. She brought her cat Spencer and they gave the girls a good show! Emily chased Spencer around like they were the best of friends and Anna had very important words to exchange with him in her secret coded "jabber" language. Spencer dealt with them very gracefully. It was nice to spend time with Jen, though she was exhausted and rightly so with all of her travelling!
Here are some photos of the fun!

We have also been spending time this summer playing with our "borrowed pet" Byron (better known as 'Mrs. B'.) The girls are learning the importance of caring for animals and making sure we shut the cage when we're finished playing with her!!

4th of July "Week"

In the spirit of Bullitt County tradition, we have already begun enjoying the "sparkling" fesitivites of the 4th of July. We here kabooms for about a week here, so we started last night at the Barclay's home with Emily's first time with sparklers! So you would know, we were VERY careful with the fire and took safety measures. Emily only almost lit Mommy's hair on fire ONE time. Emily's friend Braedon had a great time too, but Anna wandered off to find adventures of her own.....maybe she doesn't like fire??? Anyway, after we were home, Emily and Daddy enjoyed watching fireworks from the back porch... I guess we just like to enjoy everyone else's fireworks!! Ha! Ha!;) The birthday party photos were from cousin Josh's 5th Birthday party. Happy birthday Josh, we had fun times! By the way, the pictures say 6/29 - who knows why - it was really July 1.
