Picture Day

It is picture day at school today for Emily. This is how she left the house this morning.....we all know this is not the way she'll come home. I begged her to keep her hair up until after pictures, but we'll see!! She was so excited to dress up for school. Although, there was some confusion. Yesterday afternoon, her principal announced that they could "dress up" for picture day. She got in the truck and started planning out what she would wear....her Jasmine costume or her Cinderella dress. I said, "Emily, you can't wear a costume you have to wear regular clothes." She said, "no, Mr. Cowan said we needed to dress up." Kids....gotta love the way they take things!!!

and just for fun, here is what Anna does all day while sissy is gone....

Lee University

Hey all!
Yes, I am alive but have been spending my computer time elsewhere. I know my HUGE fanbase (joke, ha,ha!) has missed me! But I have been obsessed over the past few days with the Lee online community....it is really cool to see familiar faces from Lee and the past and see where they are and what they are spending their time and energy on. Fun stuff! Lee alumni, check out: https://leeuniversity.affinitycircles.com/leeuniversity/

But, I have neglected this page for a few weeks since school started for Emily. By the way, she LOVES school!! She reports she's had "no tears" in well over two weeks I'd say and she comes home full of stories about the other kids and about her teacher. She now has homework and knows how to buy her own lunch and walk to her classroom without daddy. She's like a little pro. Anna is a bit lost, but she is starting to blossom at home with me. Not because of anything I'm doing, I'm sure. Just because Emily isnt here to talk over her and boss her! She is talking more and making some progress on potty-training!

Emily on her way to school one morning. Yes, she is carrying lambie still. But, she rarely asks to take Lambie anywhere with her anymore...in fact, I was surprised to see her with Lambie in this photo!

Here is a photo of the girls making Aunt Chrisy "or KiKi to Anna" play with them in their tent....they love their Aunt KiKi and she spoils them so! I think if they asked Aunt KiKi to climb on the roof of the house with them, she'd figure out how! ;)

We are enjoying our Zoo passes and took the girls to the Zoo for character Day. Emily just wanted to meet Strawberry Shortcake and had a great time!! Anna was not too sure about the characters and needed some reassurance to get too close. She was not very excited to hold SS's hand!

No, this is not a new addition to our family! And no, holding her did not make us want any more! ;) This is Dennis falling in love with a friend's baby. This is little Ruth, the newest child of one of our SS class members. She is precious!! You'll be seeing more of these kind of pictures because there are babies due all around us in the next few months!! We're just gearing up to babysit!! ;)
