Anna Starts School

Today was Anna's first day of Headstart at Maryville School as she calls it. She loved it! She was so happy when i went to pick her up. They were out on the playground and she looked like she was having a ball! She took me in her classroom and showed me her spot on the circle for circle time and told me about her lunch and when I asked her if she cried when daddy left, she said "no." I said, "did anyone else cry?" She said "Both of them did." Now, I'm a little concerned because I know there were way more than two other kids, but there WERE only two teachers. Hopefully THEY weren't the ones crying!!! Ha Ha :)

I asked her if she wanted to go back tomorrow and she said "Yeah!" So, Headstart was a success. Mommy played hookie from work to be able to pick her up from school, so that made things easier for Mommy's adjustment! I don't think I could have handled not dropping her off Or picking her up on her first day of school!

Here's a photo of the girls on their way out the door for school:

Dog Days of August

I thought they were called the "Dog Days of August" because of the heat, but now i decided it was because I am "dog-tired!" We have had a lot going on. We went for a "last hoorah" trip to General Butler Park with the girls and had a great overnight with hiking, swimming, putt-putt, and a rowboat ride. We had a good time.

Prepared for anything!

Dennis' goals was to row all the way across the lake to touch a little concrete platform...He did it!!

Beach closed? What beach???

Then school has started back for Emily and Dennis and now Anna will start Headstart at Dennis' and Emily's school on Monday. She is very excited and says she's going to "do homework, play on the playground and eat food."

We have had some playdates with Anna's little buddy Damien since his dad broke his leg and we've been keeping him pretty often. Here are some photos of them together.

Whack-a-mole!!

Such a diva...she didn't want to get wet, just to wear her suit.

And lastly, Emily's 6th B-Day bask with the family at Mom's house. The boys also joined us for the party...poor boys...it was a Princess party!!! But it didn't keep them from having fun!

On her throne...

Sorry it seems to be only monthly that I post. We just seem so busy...i keep telling mom she needs to get my passwords and update it for me, but she won't!! If you'd like to see posts more often, tell her to start at Mamaw's Blog! ;)
God bless you all!!
