a Friday in March...

So we've just begun Spring.....how exciting! The flowers are blooming, our allergies are raging and the kids are going NUTS to get outside. Well, let's just face it - they're going NUTS anyway! I mean, see for yourself:

(and yes, they were CLEAN when she found them!)

Dennis and I had a great couple of weekends as we both attended an Emmaus Walk. For those of you who have experienced this, it was amazing and we definitely were strengthened and stretched by the experience. For those of you who said "a what??" it is a weekend with other Christians that is very structured and where you basically spend 72 hours straight with no phones, no clocks and in structured spiritual activities with other believers. Very cool and definitely something that is designed to strengthen believers for their service for the Lord, as we are all called to be "ambassadors" for Christ to the world (2 Cor 5:20). This means we should all be in service for him as missionaries to our world. So Emmaus was not designed to shelter you from the world to just bask in God's glory with other believers, but it is to spend this period of time away from the world in order to be able to better serve the world when you return to your everyday life and service in your family, church and workplace. I recommend any believer to attend. My understanding is that it is similar to Tres Dias, so if you ever hear of that - do it!! ;) And thank you so much to those who helped make our weekends great with letters, cards, prayer and child care...we love you all!
Now, on another funny note, I wanted to share a photo of Emily's newest venture....an ice cream shop. She provides ice cream to all of her customers and does a great job with it, but currently we don't have booths so seating is a little odd! ;)
Well, take care of yourselves. More soon....and Bob and Larry are here to say,
"Remember, God made you special, and he loves you very much! Goodbye!"
